MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally into Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received an Colombian Kids Choice Award as the most popular Song for the year 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued in 2017 by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album peaked at the rank of eighteen places on the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He worked alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in 2020 and in the year following, he dropped his sophomore album charting Dopamina. Then in 2021 he sang the duet for TINI's smash streaming track Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his elder brother and mom are also musicians. He has said in interviews that music is compulsory. In his early years, he learned to play saxophone guitar the ukulele, and piano. Although his first choice of career was to become a veterinarian the brother Julian convinced him to take singing lessons with a Cuban teacher. The end outcome of discovering his talents as a singer altered his entire life.
